The Expats was born out of the experience of Manon & Ben who have been living in Lisbon for 9 years and 6 years respectively.
During this time the expats’ community has change many times over (and continues to change) which can make it hard to keep your circle around you. But we have to recognise that we are also lucky to be able to live this life of expatriation, for some of us 1000s of kms away from home.
We truly believe that this journey that we all decided to take and connect us together is better spent shared. While people from our homelands might not understand what we are going through or our choice to leave, our fellow expatriates might.
This is what The Expats is for.
