After an average of 8 years living in Lisbon, we felt that we barely grew roots here. Sure we were enjoying the Portuguese life, partying with the digital nomads on Thursdays and trying out events and restaurants based on Time Out and Lisbon Insiders’ recommendations. But something was missing. People that we were meeting at these events were coming and going, it was increasingly hard to keep in touch with them. It was also hard to find and know the expats who decided to stay in Lisbon for a longer period, the ones who wanted to grow roots but were struggling. 

This is why we have created The Expats community. Now the party with the Digital Nomads and expats never ends as we stay connected online. We can build deeper bounds which creates a fertile soil to grow deeper roots for everybody. The magazine and the newsletter are a manifestation of the knowledge base of this community.
